The aim of this course is to extend the scientific theory required to understand and identify the pathophysiological impact of findings which guide diagnostic reasoning and therapeutic interventions. The health professional will relate the information from the client and whānau assessment to understand underlying pathophysiological conditions and health needs. A comprehensive approach to client and whānau assessment is utilised and the course extends the reasoning and generic assessment skills that are applicable in clinical areas.

This is a 30 point paper, which runs in Trimester B. It is made up of 3 teaching blocks (of 2 full days each).

Block A: 18 & 19 July

Block B: 22 & 23 July

Block C: 19 & 20 September

In addition to these face to face teaching blocks there will be online activities and zoom sessions to support learning.
